Agriculture

With over half of Kentucky's land classified as farms, agriculture remains a significant enterprise across Kentucky. Indeed, over 75,000 farms are registered across the state with an average 171 acres each. In total, Kentucky's agricultural receipts top $6 billion annually. Top agricultural commodities include corn ($1.5B), soybeans ($1.3B), poultry ($1.2B), equine ($1B), cattle ($879M), hay and haylage ($854M), tobacco ($269M), and wheat ($194M) (2021 figures). Of all industries, agriculture remains the most weather sensitive. Contact us for additional ag-climate products you would like to see.
